BIRDS!
Messengers in all their forms.
I connect with them each day, or rather they sing their songs, and I get to learn to dissect the layered tones of said songs. Check it out! Go outside and listen to a bird singing, and notice that they don't just broadcast one tone at a time. It's actually several tones at the same time, on different levels, including tones that your ears aren't even familiar with. It's OK, those get through to you, even if you are not aware of it.
This bird-like being came to me very early one morning, just before I was headed out for a walk. I created the polymer clay model, and then manipulated it after I got back home.
In addition to the polymer clay (Cernit Number One), there are original photographs of the crows that greet me every day at the top of the hill, as well as a much-beloved photo of Oyster mushrooms from a local grower. Those mushrooms are so artful I almost don't want to eat them, but I always do.
