This little owl head was primitively painted on the stub of a branch hacked off of a beautiful tree. Someone saw the possibility of turning a blemish into something else. He looks comfortable enough there, but each time I walked past him, it seemed like something was missing. So we hung out for a photo shoot, the owl and I. What came from that was an energy that relished the night time, when everything is lit from within if it’s lit at all.
So here is the shadow version of the daytime owl. I like him better…but of course I also relish the dark.
Created from photos taken in West Hollywood,CA and the levels were wildly manipulated using Picsart.
